Well I think it's pretty safe to say that Spring has finally showed up! The mountains still have some snow up there but for the most party the mountains are getting green. The trees are sprouting their leaves and beautiful flowers....our grass is very green already and we are having to mow it at least twice a week! That means that I have to mow it at least 1 of those times. FUN for me!!
Spring break is over and school has resumed. We have just over a month of school and then Summer vacation starts. I'm not quite sure what we are going to do this summer. I would like to do productive things instead of just watching movies all day. I know how easy it is for me to just plop a DVD into the player and watch tv ALL day long. The kids have been having fun playing in the dirt out back and Reagan has been enjoying just running around out there. I think we all had Winter cabin fever.
I have my "first" second official Close to My Heart gathering this weekend. If you remember reading way back in November my "first" gathering was a flop :(
My SIL Saren is having a gathering at her home this coming Saturday morning. I have put together my art board with cards and other cute things as examples of things that they can make. It doesn't have to be ALL about Scrapbooking..it can be cards and tags for gifts and presents for Grandparents, etc. I'm hoping that things go well and at least we hit the $150 mark so Saren can get some "free" stuff. I will post what happens.
I'm still making scrapbooks for other people. Sunshine my good online friend has 2 coming up. I'm making a cute "horse" book for her niece and a "school" book for one of her students who is graduating this year. I'm almost done with the horse book and am ready to start the school one.
I'm also making a "baby's first year" paperbag book for another online friend. I'm waiting for a stamp set to finish that one. It's going to be cute!!
Other than that nothing too exciting is happening. Same crap different day.
I am happy to say that the kids and I actually stayed at church this past Sunday for the whole block. We have gotten into such a bad habit of not going. Nursery wasn't too bad this week. There were a few babies that were having a hard time in there. There is a new mom in there too. She's really nice. I'm going to start going to their book club. I'm hoping to meet some more people around here.
There is another mom in there that has 2 young girls and we've gotten together once and I'm going to watch her lil ones while she goes visiting Teaching. She said she'd watch Reagan but I don't have anyone to visit teach yet. Which is fine by me but I'm thinking maybe I need to volunteer soon. We'll see.
All in all, things are pretty good.
