So when we bought our house I found out that there were some Grape vines on the fence to the East . AND it produces a TON of what I think to be a type of Concord Grape. It makes the best Grape juice.
My neighbor taught me how to steam them and make purple grape juice and grape jam. I think I had about 26 jars of juice and 6 jars of jam last year.
So this year I started today. I've only steamed 2 small batches and I already have 9 jars done. I'm not even close to done picking the grapes on my side of the fence and I still have the neighbors side to do as well.
I forsee at least 45 jars of juice and maybe 12 jars of jam. WOW that's alot of grapes!!
It's actually fun but it is time consuming. I will take pictures tomorrow and add them to my post so you can see what it looks like.
