Breastfeeding...

I was never one to want to breastfeed. I had NO desire to try with Emalee or Jimmy. I had never been around anyone that breastfed their baby so I have never seen it. I knew that my mom didn't breastfeed even though she had died years before...

So when we had Reagan I did give it a try. After seeing a few friends and my Sister in Law do it with all her boys I "thouht" that I could do it. I was wrong! I did try but I just didn't get the hang of it and Reagan didn't either. I'm sure me giving her a bottle during the first 2 weeks didn't make things any easier for her so we failed and went on our merry way...

Now that we are blessed to have one more child I really want to breastfeed him. I made it a point to not buy any bottles whatsoever! I do not have 1 in the house. I'm going to make sure I take advantage of the lactation consultant in the hospital. I am not leaving that hospital unless Alex is nursing like a champ!!
I even talked to a Doula in our ward and asked if she would come over if I had any questions or needed any help and she said she'd love to :)

So that is our big thing right now. I'm reading up on breastfeeding and the listening to how great it really is!
I'll keep you updated as time goes on and this lil guy does get here..
