Christian hasn't travelled since last December. He went to Scotland for Off-shore Rig training....so what happens? They decide to send him out back to Canada the day before Thanksgiving!! Doesn't that just BITE the big one?? I think it does.
I know that we had already celebrated Thanksgiving when his parents were in town but still..you want your husband home for the Holidays.
So we are down to just 3 more days until he gets back from his 2 week trip.
You really don't realize how long 2 weeks is when you hear it. It's a long time. That's 2 weeks of being a single mom with 3 extra day-care kids. That's 2 weeks of not having any down time at all!!!
All in all it's gone really well. We haven't had any major ordeals. I was sick when he left and I had a bad cold for over a week but I'm healthy now and feel back to normal.
The kids just kind of go with the flow though which is really weird. Reagan will ask for her Daddy and when she sees him on the webcam she will get all excited. I taught her to say that her Daddy is in Canada. Emalee & Jimmy don't really ask about him though. If I'm chatting with him they do which is nice but it is odd that they don't ask for him otherwise. I guess kids easily adapt to things when they aren't around.
So we're just been here doing our daily routine. School, playing, dinner, watching movies and stuff.
We can't wait for Thursday when Daddy comes home!!!
