So Robert Burns is a really big thing here.

Every year on his birthday which is the 25th of January they have a Burns Supper. Our church even has one. Everyone wears their Tartan and they have a really nice meal which consists of Haggis, Neeps & Tatties (Mince sometimes).
What is Haggis you ask? DO you really want to know ? I don't think you do, but I will share...
Here is what wikipedia says about Haggis...
Haggis is a dish containing sheep's 'pluck' (heart, liver and lungs), minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock, and traditionally simmered in the animal's stomach for approximately three hours.

So at this Burns Supper they have the Haggis and they have a pipesman come and pipe in the haggis. The chef holds the Haggis on a plate up above him and he marches it in. After it is set down there is a special person who comes and "addresses" the Haggis. We couldn't understand many words this woman said. I think we caught "Haggis" "Heed" and "Knife" use a Scottish accent when saying those words please. Otherwise it won't make sense.
My new friend Emily and I went together because Alex got really sick so we had to cancel on our sitter who was going to watch our kids, their son and then our other friend's grandson. It was a big bummer because we were all looking forward to it. Alex was sick for a good 3 or 4 days and it wasn't fun.
