A bit of a catch up
I haven't written a post since March....I guess I got a bit lazy..
In May Jimmy turned 13, hard to believe he's an actual teenager now. He still looks like a little boy to me :) We took him to see the Avenger's and had lunch at JCW's. Really good burgers.
The last week of school was really busy. Jimmy had his final choir concert which was really good, Emalee made the honor roll for 9th grade with a 3.78 GPA, and I had my first piano recital.....
The kids did really well with their grades this year. Emalee's final quarter she got straight A's, Jimmy got all A's and 1 C+ and Reagan got all 4's. We are proud of all of them.
Piano Recital - Was the most horrid thing I ever had to do. I memorised the song Memory from the play Cats and I could play it with my eyes closed...we had the recital at the UVU Institute building and there were quite a few people there. I got up for my turn and my hands were shaking so badly that I messed up so bad. It was embarrassing and I was so mad at myself for not doing well. I know I should be happy that I got throught it, but I'm still mad at myself for messing up.
I wanted to make some extra money for the summer and started watching a little boy that lives in our neighborhood. He's 5 and so far it's working out pretty good. It's keeping Alex pretty entertained and Reagan plays well with him too.
I've started using our treadmill everyday which is a good thing. I've increased my endurance a bit and can actually run almost a full mile. It's takes me 15 minutes to run/walk a mile. I'm hoping I can get it down even more.
So the summer is underway and it's going pretty well so far.

Your kids are amazing! I never got that good of grades! Also...I'm impressed you are taking piano lessons! I really want to sta again someday when we have some extra money! You have inspired me! Last thing...you can definitely up your endurance running! I used to only be able to run for maybe2 minutes, and I just worked at it and I got up to 3 miles before I got pregnant-and sick-and had to stop! Seriously if I could do it anyone can!
Thanks Heather!!
They are good kids and I may have to nag and push them, but I know what they are capable of :)
As for piano, I never took lessons as a kid and always wanted to.
You should totally do it when you can.
I hope my endurance gets better. I can do a mile in 15 minutes and that's running almost a lap :)
