I had my first Close To My Heart gathering today. It's called a Jumpstart. It's supposed to be when you OPEN for business...you are supposed to invite everyone you know, etc etc...
Well I did invite pretty much everyone I know around here. I knew 4 people were coming for sure and then 1 cancelled last night and 1 cancelled this morning...So I had 2 people come...and of couse they were family and almost family. $ wise it was an ok deal but it was pretty disappointing in the long run.
I had cookies and juice, I made give aways, etc....
Everyone says it's common but it's still a bummer. On the invite it did have an RSVP and you would think that people would RSVP..isn't that ettiquite??
So now I have to have another one pretty quickly to get my numbers up....With the holidays coming near I think it will be hard to get people to come...I may have to wait until the New Year.
