Do you think I am a little bit bored?? Making posts about food!! I just think it's interesting to learn about the foods other countries eat...
So here is another food post. Breakfast foods....They have normal stuff like eggs, bacon (which is a bit different), cold cereal, toast...
I did find Pop Tarts but they are 2.57 BP...which is very expensive so the kids won't get them that often! They don't have English muffins but they have these Crumpets that are kind of spongy and you put them in the toaster. I really like those!!
Their waffles are in the bread aisle as are their Pancakes which is kind of funny to me.
We haven't found "normal" syrup for me but we have found Maple Syrup for Jimmy and Christian.
They don't have hash browns here but I did find these little hash brown triangles to bake in the oven. We bought some and they have an ok taste but it's still a little off.
Every Saturday I still make bacon, eggs & potatoes. All the other days we either have cereal, toast, leftovers...whatever we can find. Just not as many options here... oh well right

Have you had baked beans over there yet? They are different from the baked beans here, and people eat them with breakfast.
Also, Lorne sausage roll with brown sauce. mmmmmm. You must try it.
Potato scones are a fatastic breakfast. With ketchup or even scrambled egg. yum.
Have you had an Aberdeen buttery yet? (we used to call them rollies) They are so yummy toasted with butter, or even jam.
Scones with clotted cream and jam.
I've tried making crumpets over here, I miss them a lot. You can get English muffins, we used to have them frequently.
People have golden syrup on pancakes and things, which tastes very different. But golden syrup is very good in baking. I do like it on french toast too.
Seriously, try the oatmeal. It's cheap to buy the big bags of oats, and they're not rolled oat like here, they are sooo much better.
You've got to get in on wheetabix.
ha ha ha I just read Niecey's post and I was coming to post about beans on toast....I was quite disgusted when I found out people ate beans on toast for breakfast when I was In england...but after I tried them I quite enjoyed them....
