Just a post

Well school has been going on now for over a month. Hard to believe we are back in the swing of things.
So far things are going well. The kids all seem to be adjusted to their new teachers and grades. We are making some new friends while keeping some of the old ones as well.
Alex and I are enjoying our time alone with one another. I enrolled him in a Football class on Monday mornings. So far he has really liked it. I am thrilled that he can actually follow directions and that he is not shy to do things that they ask him to. In saying that he also is a stinker and doesn't want to do things unless they are his way! I wish it were more of them coaching the kids instead of the parents having to pitch in. I was hoping for 45 minutes of chatting with my friend Emily but that's ok.
Alex and I are also going to the gym 3 mornings a week. That has been good for me and him. He goes into the Creche with no problems now and is having a great time. Much better than when we first started going back in February.
Come January of 2011 he'll be going to Nursery 5 days a week up at the school. I am looking forward to the time with no children at the house!
We decided it was time to add a family member to our house and adopted a 8 year old dog. She is a Stafford Bull Terrier and she is as sweet as can be. She is called Gemma and is black. She is a sweet dog and has adjusted nicely to being in our home. I will say that whoever had her before us spoiled her rotten and we are trying to break her of a few bad habits. Other than that it's been good.
Christian and I are still eating our Paleo Lifestyle and it's been going well. I'm really not sure how much weight I have lost as I don't quite know where I started. It would have been smart to write this down but I never did. I'm thinking of calling the Dr office to see what I weighed the last time I had my blood pressure taken....I know it's over 12 lbs but can't really sure. At least all my pants are too big for me and my wedding ring had to be taken off because it's too loose. Surely that is a good sign.
Other than that, nothing else is really going on. The kids have 2 weeks off in October, right when our 14th wedding anniversary is!! Maybe we'll go somewhere overnight?? Maybe not? Who knows.....
